WHO ARE WE?

EMBRACE is a place that is out of ordinary. We do not think that a diagnosis should be provided in a mere assessment and questionnaire. According to Bronfenbrenner's Ecological Systems Theory, all developmental processes of an individual is influenced by Microsystem, Mesosystem, Exosystem, Macrosystem, and Chronosystem. While we appreciate and acknowledged the diagnosis done by professionals, we think that familiarity, settings and other factors can influence the performance of a child. Thus, we think that observation through a lengthen period of time is a more accurate way of determining the condition of a child. We then use the findings to produce an Individual Education Plan (IEP) for them, with goals and teaching methods tailored to their needs.

Our team are made up of people that wants to make a difference in the current situation for Special Educational Needs (SEN) children in our country. We wish to show that while they are special, they are still able to learn, and live independently, with the right guidance. The current resources for SEN children are limited and insufficient. We are hoping that our presence make a difference.

Our Logo

Orange daylily is the representation of mother in Chinese context. In this logo, the flowers also signifies children. The mandarin for this flower, 忘忧,'wang you' carries the meaning of worry free. Thus, it is fitting with our intention on setting this institute. Both hands carrying the orange daylilies are stand for the collaboration between our team and caregivers respectively.
